Chapter Meetings (4 times per year): Morning, afternoon or evening meetings with dedicated time for networking and featuring a keynote speaker. Networking reception and meal provided. Typical attendance is 150-250.
Power Breakfasts (3 times per year): Offered three times per year, these meetings feature a panel of senior leaders at the C-Suite level to discuss the challenges that impact their business and the involvement of the human resources professional. Attendance ranges from 150 to 250 attendees.
SHRM-Atlanta Impact Awards: At SHRM-Atlanta we think it’s important to recognize the people and teams who push the boundaries and challenge convention. We want to honor leaders and departments for their hard work, entrepreneurial spirit, vision, inspirational leadership and innovation. The SHRM-Atlanta Impact Awards provide a platform to celebrate HR greatness and promote positive change in Atlanta companies. We want to showcase the profound impact that HR can have on business results. We are looking for nominations from CEO’s, partners, peers, SHRM-Atlanta members or anyone else who wants to recognize an individual or department that is changing the way we work.
SOAHR 2017, SHRM-Atlanta HR Conference (March): Two-day conference featuring a high profile keynote speaker and 35 concurrent educational sessions. The conference delivers valuable, relevant HR material - great for those that need continuing education credit for their HRCI or SHRM certification. The event includes a Resource Partner Showcase. Typical attendance is 1200+ and is held at the Cobb Galleria Centre.
One-Day Symposium (August): One-day symposium featuring a high profile keynote speaker and 20 concurrent educational sessions. Conference is broken into four different tracks (HR Boot Camp, Wellness, Strategic & Talent Management). The event includes a Resource Partner Showcase and will be held at The Infinite Energy Center.
RDCs (10 total meetings per year over 4 RDC locations): Regional Development Community are area specific (North Perimeter, Gwinnett, Cobb, and Intown) development communities spread around Atlanta in order to be convenient to members' work and/or home. Usually held during the week before or after work and usually features food, drinks, and a speaker. Attendance varies from 20 to 40 depending on the location and speaker.
HR Young Professionals Socials (4 times per year):Networking social for HR young professionals under the age of 35. Socials include networking, happy hour cash bar and appetizers.
Certification Review Course: Review course for the SHRM and HRCI certification exams; take place in the Fall and Spring. Offered for anyone interesting in taking a certification exam, these courses are taught by experienced HR professionals.
Webinars: Online educational learning that is free for SHRM-Atlanta members. You can earn CEU credits without leaving your office/home.
