What is Affirmative Action, and What to Expect When Audited?

The US DOL OFCCP selects hundreds of companies a year to review/audit Affirmative Action Plans. Since audits cannot be avoided but violations can, what are you doing? This presentation will explain how to be prepared before an audit, and during the audit and will explain what being prepared really means. Which issues are fixable and which issues could cause a financial violation. This information comes from a former OFCCP Auditor/ Compliance Office.
 
What is Affirmative Action? This presentation explains common misconceptions of Affirmative Action, provides elements of an AAP with explanations.

Speaker: Diana Younts, Managing Partner, First Advantage Consulting Firm, LLC

Diana Younts is a subject matter expert on affirmative action and equal opportunity. She has a B.A. in Behavior Sciences, a certificate in mediation. Younts is a member of the Atlanta Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), Cobb Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Board of the Vision Rehabilitation Services of Georgia.

After 27 years working in different Departments/Agencies and areas of the Federal Government, she retired from the United States Department of Labor Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs in July 2011. As a US DOL auditor/investigator with Office of Contract Compliance Programs (US DOL OFCCP), her duties included auditing affirmative action plans and conducting investigations of alleged discrimination.

As the Managing Partner of First Advantage Consulting Firm, LLC, her goals are to protect clients from costly financial violations, avoid issues with the US DOL OFCCP and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), along with providing the industry leading affirmative action plans.
